About MacroDroid - Device Automation
Device automation on Android has never been easier. MacroDroid - Device Automation transforms how you interact with your smartphone or tablet by letting you build powerful automated tasks in just a few taps, without coding or technical expertise.
Imagine your phone working smarter for you. Turn on Bluetooth and start playing music automatically when you arrive at your car. Reject calls during meetings based on your calendar. Read incoming notifications aloud while driving and send smart replies via SMS or email. Dim your screen to save battery, manage files automatically, or create custom notification profiles—all without lifting a finger. These aren't isolated tricks; they're the foundation of a completely personalized Android experience.
The system works through three intuitive steps. First, you choose a trigger—the event that kicks everything off. MacroDroid includes over 80 triggers spanning location-based events (GPS, cell towers), device status changes (battery level, app launching), sensor input (motion, light), and connectivity (Bluetooth, WiFi, notifications). You can also create homescreen shortcuts or use the customizable MacroDroid sidebar for instant access.
Next, you select actions—more than 100 of them. Connect devices, adjust volume, speak text aloud, start timers, control your screen brightness, run advanced scripts, or trigger Tasker plugins. Finally, add constraints if you want conditions attached: automate WiFi connection only during work hours, or trigger actions only on specific days. With over 50 constraint types, your macros work exactly when and how you need them.
Beginners get a guided Wizard to build their first macros, plus ready-made templates to customize. The built-in community forum connects you with experienced users for tips and troubleshooting. Advanced users unlock system variables, custom scripts, intents, and complex logic (IF/THEN/ELSE, AND/OR operators). Full Tasker and Locale plugin compatibility extends automation possibilities even further.
Accessibility is built in responsibly—MacroDroid uses accessibility services only for UI automation, entirely at your discretion, with zero data logging. A companion Wear OS app lets you interact with MacroDroid from your wrist, including watch face complications.
The free version supports up to 5 macros with ads. Upgrade once to the Pro version for unlimited macros and an ad-free experience. MacroDroid - Device Automation puts advanced automation in your hands, letting you reclaim time and simplify your daily routine.
